Being a military man, Caras' first move as emperor was obvious.
"TO WAR!"
The enemy: the Persian empire, a bitter rival of the Romans.
Caras took his two advisors and Numerian with him, leaving his other son, Corinus, in charge.
"Does that mean I get to do whatever I want?"
"NO!"
The campaign was successful, the Persian empire...
"HUZZAH!"
"Let's just leave him."
...sacked.
However, on the way back...
"I found the emperor! He's DEAD!!"
"HOW?!?"
"Uhh... Bolt of lightning? Maybe?"
Yeah, right.
