But soon came the decisive battle. In preparation, Constantine circumvented Licinius' army using a flotilla of light transports to convey his troops.

Licinius: Did you guys hear something?

Constantine struck, and Licinius' army didn't stand a chance. For one, Licinius was superstitious of the Chi Rho and forbade his troops from even looking at it.

Licinius' legionary: What are we supposed to do then?!

Licinius and his latest army commander Martinianus fled.

Apparently Licinius hadn't learnt his lesson, because Martinian had also been raised to augustus.

Still, licinius was able to escape death through his wife Constantia's pleas, and was merely sent in exile.

Licinius: It's comfy. At least, comfier than him. (Martinianus)

A year later:

Constantine: Hmm... You know what?

Constantine had Licinius killed.
