Okay, Licinius jr. was pretty much lost to history. There are some reports of him either being executed (see bottom of linked page) near the time of his father’s execution, or sold into slavery. Constantia, his MOTHER, and Constantine’s half-sister, remained in Constantine’s court for the rest of her days. (I will remind you that he killed her husband for whom she had begged for mercy, and possibly her son(s?))

Constantine could have killed her, no one would have noticed. In fact, his mother Helena had some reasons to be pretty mad at her. Constantia’s mother, Theodora, essentially stole Helena’s husband, good old Constantius Chlorus, from her.

So, I would guess that either she didn’t give a damn about her family, loved her half-brother and forgave him, or loved her life enough to keep quiet about the whole thing and stay with the man who killed her family.

In any case, I think keeping Licinius jr. in close quarters is pretty entertaining.

Constantine I: There is that... giant statue I want to build. Of me.

Crispus: Hey, you think any buildings will be consecrated to me?

Constantine I: Oh, there'll be LOADS of consecrating going on, no doubt.

Fausta: You may come as well, Constantia. Licinius jr. too, of course. We always need wine pourers.

Constantine I: Didn't I kill that guy?
